Work has begun on the construction of The Gascoyne Junction Visitor Stop. Earthworks commenced the week of February 8 despite the wonderful rainfall in the area.
Thanks to a successful grant application through the Building Better Regions Fund, almost four acres of vacant land will be developed into a day rest stop to accommodate up to 30 RV/Caravans with amenities and a large grassed ampitheatre with accessible pathways linking historic pastoral machinery.
Artwork of the completed project can be viewed at the Gascoyne Junction Community Resource Centre.
The project is expected to be completed early in the second half of 2021.
